Wine technology will also be on show at the next drinktec trade fairs under the label „powered by SIMEI“. This has now been announced by Messe München and the Italian wine association „Unione Italiana Vini“ (UIV).
The agreement not only makes it clear that drinktec 2021 and drinktec 2025 will once again feature a large-scale Wine technology-division. In addition, it was also decided that the SIMEI as a trade fair for Winery and bottling machines will take place in Milan every two years, as in the past. The purpose of the continued cooperation is to bring the two brands drinktec and SIMEI as a whole.
drinktec already had a stand at SIMEI in November.
Accordingly, drinktec will be held from 19 to 22 November 2019 with its own stand at SIMEI in Milan will be represented. SIMEI will also be represented at drinktec in Munich Show your colours and present yourself there. The „powered by SIMEI“ label will be visible wherever drinktec is held. Change of date for drinktec could not be realised
„This is an expression of the fact that we are continuing our cooperation and will continue to stand together,“ explains Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, the Managing Director of Messe München responsible for drinktec. „We want to continue to realise a strong presence for wine technology at drinktec and also offer UIV members a global audience there.“

As it is not feasible to change the date of drinktec to November according to the trade fair calendar in Munich, a SIMEI in Italy every two years can offer Italian winegrowers the right time to meet, as usual, in November, i.e. after the grape harvest. This is the best way for both brands to benefit from each other,“ explained UIV Secretary General Paolo Castelletti.
