The private equity investor Dubag Group has acquired the food liquid filling business of the Syntegon Group together with the companies Ampack and Osgood Industries. Both companies will merge under the umbrella brand Ceratech Group to ensure continued close international co-operation.
Ampack, based in Königsbrunn (Germany), and Osgood, based in Oldsmar (USA), are recognised as leading technology providers for the Filling liquid and viscous foodstuffs into pre-moulded cups and bottles. Dubag specialises in company spin-offs with high potential for success. Following an in-depth review, the investor believes that the new acquisition is in a strong position for the future.

Long-term investment intentions
Dubag sees the key to long-term growth in the technological expertise of the workforce and takes over the 300 employees of Ampack and Osgood. Leon van de Wiel, former Managing Director and Vice President Food Liquid at Syntegon and now Managing Director of Ampack and Osgood, explains: „In this way, we not only fulfil our responsibility towards our employees, but also enable a smooth transition phase for our customers - and set the course for successful cooperation in the future.“
The acquisition was made via the LEO III fund, which is exclusively advised and represented by Dubag. The parties have agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
