Easyfairs launches EMPACK 2018 in Dortmund

Trade fair organiser Easyfairs is expanding its trade fair portfolio and will be holding EMPACK 2018 at the Westfalenhallen Dortmund on 24 and 25 January 2018. The Dortmund event is the latest addition to Easyfairs' 43-strong family of packaging trade fairs.

The trade fair will cover the entire value chain from industrial goods to packaging technology and consumer goods packaging. With Dortmund as an industrial and technology centre, the new event will not only open up North Rhine-Westphalia and northern Germany as a visitor catchment area, but also the Benelux countries. In North Rhine-Westphalia alone, industry generates over 20% of Germany's total gross value added. Due to the strong manufacturing sector, many important trading companies are present in the region, which, in the organiser's opinion, opens up extremely attractive exhibitor and visitor potential for EMPACK in Dortmund.

„EMPACK closes the gap for the entire region in terms of a regionally orientated Trade fair for the packaging industry“, of which Siegbert Hieber, Managing Director of Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH, is convinced.

The current booking situation supports this statement. According to the organisers, around 40% of the available exhibition space has already been booked.

„The extremely positive registration behaviour of exhibitors even at this early stage shows that we have correctly assessed the great demand for a regionally oriented trade fair for the packaging industry by holding EMPACK in Dortmund,“ continues Hieber.

The exhibitors' product portfolio includes packaging materials and substances, packaging technology and machines, packaging aids, labelling, marking and printing technologies, packaging logistics and services.
