This is because the green tinted film called EP-Flex™ Renew™ contains a naturally organic additive, which accelerates the degradation of the film after disposal. A small amount of organic additives is added to the mixture of the standard film for this purpose. These bind evenly distributed with the molecules of the polymer chains that form the plastic. Once the film has been disposed of, the microbes associated with the additives accelerate its decomposition and biodegrade it.
