The Edelmann Group announces structural adjustments at its headquarters in Heidenheim. The aim of the strategic development is to increase the plant's specialisation in premium folding cartons and secure its long-term competitiveness. A socially responsible reduction of around 100 full-time positions is planned.
The measures are part of a comprehensive strategy with a focus on clear alignment, transparency and dialogue. „We are currently adapting our structures and strategic direction in order to best prepare ourselves for future challenges and drive forward our further development in a targeted manner,“ explains Meino Adam, CSO of the Edelmann Group. „As part of the adjustment of our production volume, a socially responsible reduction of around 100 full-time positions is planned, which will primarily be achieved through amicable solutions.“ The company emphasises that it wants to develop the site into Europe's „best plant for premium folding cartons“.
Specialisation, investments and cross-location cooperation
The Group emphasises investments in innovation and technology, the strengthening of the corporate culture and the promotion of cross-location collaboration. In its communication, Edelmann emphasises that it remains a reliable partner for customers, employees and the region, even in challenging times. The portfolio continues to include fibre-based packaging solutions - including folding cartons, leaflets, system solutions, rigid boxes, wet-glue labels and corrugated board products - for beauty care, health care and consumer brands, manufactured at six German and six international sites.
