Engel is strengthening its market presence in North and South America with the opening of a new production site in Querétaro. The expansion is intended to ensure faster delivery times and higher machine availability.

Engel has expanded its production capacity in the Americas with the opening of a new plant in Querétaro, Mexico. The company states that this step is intended to provide customers in North and South America with faster availability of injection moulding machines and to strengthen regional production.

Strengthening our market presence in America

According to Vanessa Malena, President Engel Americas, Mexico plays a central role in the company's global production strategy. The decision in favour of Querétaro was made with a view to long-term growth and the location offers scope for future expansion.

In addition to increasing production, Engel is also expanding its local workforce. „We are significantly expanding our team in order to strengthen our production and customer service in the region,“ says Nils Mayer, General Manager Engel Machinery Mexico.

In future, the Querétaro site will e-mac series (all-electric small machines) and WINTEC t-win (large hydraulic two-platen machines). The company will also produce customised Automation solutions offer.

Significance for the market

According to Engel, Mexico and Latin America are important growth regions for injection moulding technology. Shorter delivery times and a stronger regional presence will enable the company to respond more flexibly to customer requirements in future.
