The European Pallet Association e. V. (Epal) is not only celebrating its 30th birthday this year, it is also celebrating the 60th birthday of the Euro pallet.

The Euro pallet was invented in 1961 as a standardised exchangeable pallet. Epal, on the other hand, was founded in 1991 as an international association for exchangeable Euro pallets and is now represented in more than 30 countries. The association's technical regulations form the basis for the internationally uniform quality and standardised dimensions of the Epal Euro pallet. Epal's comprehensive quality assurance system, with around 21,000 quality checks every year, guarantees trouble-free processes in international warehousing and transport logistics.
