Fachpack 2025: The packaging industry meets in Nuremberg

From 23 to 25 September 2025, the European packaging industry will once again meet at Fachpack in Nuremberg.

From 23 to 25 September 2025, Nuremberg will once again be the meeting place for the European packaging industry. Around 1,400 exhibitors will present innovative materials, packaging technologies and processes at Fachpack - from packaging materials to automation and intralogistics.

The main theme „Transition in Packaging“ makes it clear that the industry is in a phase of profound change. Sustainability, resource efficiency and digitalisation characterise the trade fair presentation in eleven halls.

Visitors can expect concrete solutions for current challenges: sustainable materials, circular economy, automation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. This momentum makes the packaging industry a resilient part of the European economy.

Specialist forums with answers to current questions

The lecture programme is divided into three specialist forums:

  • Packbox (Hall 4) - moderated by industry partners, with discussions on regulation, climate change and the circular economy.

  • Innovationbox (Hall 7) - Stage for new products and process innovations, moderated by Petra Bindl.

  • Solpack 6.0 (Hall 3) - sustainable packaging solutions, curated by Pacoon Managing Director Peter Desilets.

The topics range from the EU requirements of the PPWR to alternative raw materials.

Networking and special events

New is the FuturePack Summit on the day before the trade fair, which connects start-ups with industry and investors. In addition Women4Packaging a sign of greater visibility for women in the industry. Highlights also include the presentation of the German Packaging Award with 37 winners, the Student Day on 25 September and Fachpack.TV, presented live by packaging journal from Hall 4.

Pavilions for innovations

The pavilion „Converting meets packaging“ celebrates its premiere and brings converters and the packaging industry together. In the pavilion „Alternative packaging solution“, 14 exhibitors will be presenting products ranging from grass and leaf paper to upholstery materials made from grain husks. Young companies will find a wide range of products at the joint stands „Young Innovators“ and „Newcomer pavilion“ their stage. The tried and tested pavilion „Labels & more“ in Hall 7 is once again part of the programme.
