Packaging and process technology took centre stage for three days: At Fachpack 2025 and Powtech Technopharm, which took place in parallel, 72,000 trade visitors met at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg to discover innovations and discuss the future of the industries.
The exhibition halls were well filled and the atmosphere was characterised by exchange and a spirit of innovation. At the stands and in specialist forums, the community discussed topics such as the circular economy, regulations, automation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. According to NürnbergMesse, the European packaging industry presented itself as innovative and solution-orientated.
International trade fair with a wide range of topics
Around 37 per cent of visitors came from abroad, mainly from Europe. Key industries such as food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, retail, automotive, electronics, logistics and packaging were represented. This confirmed the trade fair's claim to be a platform for the European market.
Stage for start-ups and young talent
The day before, the FuturePack Summit brought together start-ups and established players. At the trade fair itself, young companies showcased their ideas, from sustainable materials to digital business models, at the "Young Innovators" joint stand and the "Newcomer Pavilion". The STUDENT DAY also attracted more than 60 students who exchanged ideas with industry representatives.
With WOMEN4PACKAGING, the trade fair focussed on exchange and visibility in the industry. 200 participants took part in presentations and discussions.

German Packaging Award 2025
To kick off the trade fair, the German Packaging Institute the Gold Awards of the German Packaging Award. The winners included AeroFlexx in the Functionality and Convenience category, Dachser in the Logistics and Material Flow category and the Gropper dairy for recyclability and sustainability. A total of 37 solutions from several countries were honoured.
The next Fachpack will take place from 21 to 23 September 2027 in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre.
