A new gluing machine for folding cartons has recently gone into operation at Egger Druck + Medien in Landsberg. The Bavarian family business wants to use it to produce standardised boxes in small and medium runs more quickly.

Product packaging are becoming an increasingly important part of the portfolio of Egger Druck + Medien from Landsberg near Munich. In order to be able to produce faster and more flexibly, the family-run company has expanded its machinery with a new Gluing machine for Folding boxes extended.

A „Visionfold 80 A2“ system from the Swiss manufacturer Bobst is now in use. „With the new highly specialised machine, we are now able to work faster and with greater versatility. It can also Gluing work that were previously not possible by machine, such as gluing the automatic bottom of folding cartons,“ explains Josef Egger, one of the two Egger managing directors. The new system is particularly suitable for processing different types of cartons. Short changeover times make it easier to produce small and medium runs in particular.
