Polar launches the fastest counter-pressure die-cutter on the market and presents it at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels. The new die-cutter enables a 25 per cent increase in production.

At Labelexpo in Brussels, Polar will be showcasing the fastest counter-pressure die-cutter currently available on the market is: The Polar LabelSystem DCC-12 is designed for the Highly automated inline production of bundled die-cut labels made of compressible plastic materials such as OPP films for InMould.

A new industrial control system also enables Productivity increase of 25 per cent, The DCC-12 thus achieves an output of 10 cycles per minute. A remarkable performance with minimal labour input. The system is therefore also suitable for dual use; other die-cutters are not efficient enough for printing labels on paper. HMI control and a capacitive 4c colour display simplify operation. The industrial control system enables Modern alarm management, remote maintenance and diagnostics, as well as integration into the digital workflow.

The integrated servo technology improves process stability and increases production downtimes: the system runs more smoothly, Starting and braking speeds can be set independently. The machine can also be easily repositioned in the new die cutter, and the material can remain in the machine.

Quick change of punching tools

„The highlight, or rather the special innovation, is our patented positioning aid, which enables the punching tool to be changed quickly and easily,“ explains Stephan Kummer, Sales Manager at Polar. Modernised order management also reduces changeover times from 30 to 15 minutes thanks to automatic presettings.

Polar LabelySystem DCC-12 also scores highly in terms of sustainability: the die cutter is capable of, Label packs can be handled without cardboard. The waste is therefore pure mono-material and can be optimally recycled. The punching die is ventilated and can extract waste directly. This means that even acute-angled shapes at 90° can be punched without any problems.
