Feldmuehle Uetersen GmbH is restructuring its product portfolio and sales organisation under its new Managing Director Heiner Kayser - primarily to the benefit of the company's customers.

The company's products, which were previously divided into six segments, will now be bundled into the Labelling Applications, Packaging Solutions and Graphical Options divisions. According to the company, the restructuring is intended to benefit customer proximity in particular. The aim is to strengthen Feldmuehle's market position in the three areas.

With the clear focus on high-quality label papers, Packaging papers and Graphic papers and cardboard Feldmuehle is consistently focussing on the requirements of the market. At the same time, the special expertise and experience of the employees and the flexible possibilities of the machinery are to be used even better in favour of customer requirements.

„We are focussing on our greatest strengths,“ explains Heiner Kayser, Managing Director of Feldmuehle Uetersen GmbH since May of this year. „Our aim is to be particularly close to our customers, to find innovative solutions for specific requirements and to continue to set standards in terms of quality and customer service.“ Feldmuehle's goals are clearly defined: To expand the company's market share in the three business areas and strengthen its position as a supplier of high-quality, white coated papers for the labelling, packaging and printing industries.

High service quality thanks to customer-centred sales approach

As part of the reorganisation of the product portfolio, the entire sales structure will also be aligned even more closely with the customer. This means that office and field staff will each be able to specialise in one of the three business areas and advise customers with in-depth product knowledge. „The name Feldmuehle stands for a particularly High level of service“, says Eckhard Kallies, Head of Sales and Marketing. „The new structure enables us to respond even more intensively to special requirements and wishes and to act as a true partner to our customers.“

Strengthening the graphics area

In its graphic arts range, the company is increasingly focussing on products with a particularly high whiteness and premium character. In addition to picture printing papers, the high-white cellulose board VivaCard will be integrated here. With another product in the pipeline, this business area is gaining additional importance. The aim is to be able to offer customers an even broader portfolio here too.

Ambitions in the traditional labelling sector

With a long tradition and a high level of expertise in the production of label papers, Feldmuehle is one of the leading suppliers in this field. As a trendsetter, the company will expand its extensive, high-quality portfolio with innovative products and further strengthen its market position.

Potential in packaging

In the area of flexible packaging papers and liners, the growth opportunities of the young, high-quality products are to be utilised. The aim is to further raise the profile of this Feldmuehle division with new product solutions, e.g. in the barrier paper segment, and to offer customers innovative specialities.
