PulPac and PA Consulting, in collaboration with the Bottle Collective, have developed a bottle closure made from dry moulded fibre, which is being tested as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic. This innovation is intended to move the packaging industry further in the direction of sustainability.

PulPac, known for its dry moulded fibre technology, and PA Consulting have jointly developed a new Bottle cap made from fibre-based material which is being trialled by the Bottle Collective, a joint initiative with members such as Diageo, Logoplaste, Haleon and Sanofi. These closures could play an important role in the transition from plastic to fibre-based packaging.

By introducing dry moulded fibre in bottle closures, companies could improve their Reduce ecological footprint, by offering sustainable alternatives to plastic packaging. According to PulPac and PA Consulting, this is an important step towards a wider application of fibre-based technology. The development of such closures is in line with global efforts to minimise the Reduce plastic waste and promote the circular economy.
