Moulded fibre trays for the pharmaceutical industry

Together with Harvest Packaging, Faller Packaging will be presenting a new moulded fibre tray for pharmaceutical packaging for the first time at CPhI in Frankfurt.

Faller Packaging proves that sustainability and functionality can be combined in pharmaceutical packaging with a fibre-based alternative. The new moulded fibre tray can be seen for the first time at CPhI 2025 in Frankfurt.

Faller Packaging offers the sustainable moulded fibre trays in cooperation with Harvest Packaging. They are made from a lightweight, stable and recyclable fibre. The advantage: Previous plastic trays can be replaced almost identically and sustainably. In addition, the use of monomaterials further improves sortability in the recycling process. The focus is on high material efficiency with simultaneous product protection. For applications with sensitive active ingredients or electronic components, Faller Packaging offers structured inserts and combined solutions.

Customised and pre-packaged

Other focal points are customised special designs and the pre-packaging service. Especially for injection systems such as autoinjectors, pens or complex kits with vials and accessories standard folding boxes are often not sufficient. Faller Packaging develops individual solutions for such cases that fulfil user-specific requirements and can be smoothly integrated into existing processes.

Made by hand: The PrePackaging Service produces small quantities of folding cartons or complex packaging constructions. (Image: Faller Packaging)

The PrePackaging Service from Faller Packaging produces Pre-assembled packaging solutions that are precisely tailored to the respective product including industry-specific materials and moulds. The specialist supports customers from phase 3 of clinical trials and supplies them with ready-to-use packaging for vials, syringes or devices. Small quantities produced initially can then be automatically transferred to large-scale production without additional conversions.
