The German Packaging Institute (dvi) is calling for the final spurt for the German Packaging Award 2025. Companies, institutions and creative minds have until the end of the month to submit their best packaging solutions.
The deadline for the German Packaging Award 2025 has passed: Companies, institutions and individuals from Germany and abroad have until 31 May 2025 to submit their most innovative packaging solutions. The competition, organised by the German Packaging Institute (dvi), is the largest European showcase for packaging.
Ten categories - from design to digitalisation
The independent expert jury presents the awards across all materials and segments in ten categories:
- Design
- Functionality & Convenience
- Presentation of goods
- Economic efficiency
- Sustainability
- Logistics & material flow
- New material
- Digitisation
- Packaging machines (engineering, technology, software)
- Young talent award for pupils, students and trainees
Multiple submissions in several categories are possible.
Award ceremony at Fachpack
The award ceremony will take place on 23 September 2025 at Fachpack in Nuremberg. There, the winners will be honoured on a large stage and receive a certificate and trophy. The exclusive Gold Awards for outstanding innovations will also be presented to the winners.
Direct nomination for the WorldStar Award
An additional incentive: winners of the German Packaging Award automatically qualify to take part in the renowned WorldStar Award of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
Easy online submission possible
Participation takes place via an online platform at http://www.verpackungspreis.de or http://www.packagingaward.de. All information can be collected there and submissions can be stored temporarily.
