Empack will take place in Dortmund from 15 to 16 May. The trade fair covers the entire packaging technology value chain and, in addition to an extensive supporting programme, also offers access to Logistics & Automation, which takes place at the same time.

The Empack in Dortmund has established itself as a platform for communication in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region as an ideal forum for the presentation of specific solutions, concepts and products. The concept of the trade fair is clearly defined and proven. Maria Soloveva, Project Manager of Easyfairs: „Empack is regional, efficient, personal. Visitors can get in touch with experts and learn about new, customised solutions and products.“ The Easyentry principle applies here: no long journey times, no searching for a parking space, no queues, no long distances. Visitors can also leave their business cards at home because they can simply use their smart badge to exchange contact details with the exhibitors.

The broad spectrum is typical of Empack: the exhibitors cover the entire value chain of packaging technology from materials and machines to complete packaging solutions. Visitors can exchange ideas with key players in the industry such as Bluhm, Knüppel, Romwell and teampack, who have been exhibiting at the fair for years. They can also get to know new exhibitors such as Beck Packautomaten, Fiberlane, Petroplast and Ribox. A tour of the exhibition area promises to be just as exciting as the Visit to the lecture programme to become. Here, experts provide a comprehensive yet practice-orientated overview of what moves the industry. Some examples: Digitalisation will be addressed by Lukas Lehmann, Team Leader Packaging Logistics at Fraunhofer IML. The title of his presentation: „The central role of data“.

Dr Benedikt Brenken, R-Cycle, will speak on the highly topical subject of the circular economy. His topic: „Why digital product passports enable a circular economy for packaging“. The presentation by Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V. (German Environmental Aid) on „Where reusable packaging is already enshrined in law and offers further potential“ will certainly also provide food for thought. An additional attraction of visiting the trade fair is the opportunity to Ticket also for Logistics & Automation, which takes place at the same time and at the same venue to utilise. This gives visitors direct access to around 150 exhibitors from the packaging and intralogistics industry.
