First SIG cardboard packaging with tethered cap

Landliebe is the first company in the world to launch its milk in carton packaging from SIG with the combiSwift Tethered Cap.

Landliebe is the first company in the world to launch its UHT milk in carton packaging from SIG with the combiSwift Tethered Cap. The packaging has been on the shelves since the end of September 2022. The company is thus implementing the EU directive on closures for single-use beverage packaging earlier.

Landliebe Molkereiprodukte GmbH is The first company in the world to use the combiSwift TC (Tethered Cap) closure. from SIG onto the market. The German dairy company has launched UHT milk in combiblocSlimline with SIG's combiSwift TC on the shelves under the Landliebe brand. The strong partnership between Landliebe and SIG has existed for many years. Landliebe was also one of the first to launch SIG's combibloc ECOPLUS packaging material. It does not require an aluminium layer and uses less CO2 and has a higher proportion of renewable raw materials compared to conventional cardboard packaging.

The combiSwift TC closure makes no compromises when it comes to convenience for the consumer and is Easy to handle. He is also familiar with the compatible with existing SIG filling lines and closure applicators. This is a good example of the flexibility and adaptability that customers can expect from SIG's packaging solutions and filling machines - and at low cost. This means maximum planning and investment security for beverage producers in Europe who have to fulfil the legal requirements of the EU.

The combiSwift TC lock can be fixed in the desired parking position by pressing it down. This allows Consumers can drink or pour from the pack without the cap being in the way and without having to hold it in place. To close the pack, the cap is simply lifted slightly and then closed as usual. Tethered caps also ensure greater convenience, as the cap is always to hand and cannot get lost. Market research confirms high consumer acceptance for both drinking and pouring. combiSwift TC from SIG is one of three closure innovations for SIG's most popular carton packs in Europe.
