pj: Mr Hahnenkamp, what is Ishida's current focus?

Herbert Hahnenkamp: The Customer satisfaction is and remains a focus for Ishida. Measures such as the remote monitoring of complete production lines by the Ishida Sentinel®, Our new service centres, faster service response times and our training programme aim to make the use of Ishida technology as easy as possible for users. In Germany, we have also increased our reach to twelve sales territories. Thanks to additional sales staff in the meat, fish and poultry segments, we are now able to offer an even wider range of products. closer to our customers act.

pj: What particular challenges did you face last year?

Herbert Hahnenkamp: The task for us is always to determine the exact requirements of each customer. In addition to multihead weighers, Ishida offers a wide range of quality control systems such as checkweighers, X-ray machines, seal testers and vision systems. In dialogue with those responsible, we address the specific requirements of production to offer the right solution.

pj: How do you assess the economic situation?

Herbert Hahnenkamp: Very positive. Our primary market is the food industry. Domestic sales and exports are increasing - both in the production of foodstuffs and for our partners in the packaging machinery industry.

pj: What effects do you expect for Ishida?

Herbert Hahnenkamp: We plan to double our business volume over the next three years. In the 2016/2017 financial year, we achieved overall sales growth of twelve per cent. In order to continue to drive this development, we have expanded our sales team as well as our service team.

pj: What do you see as the most important tasks and trends in the industry?

Herbert Hahnenkamp: Customers who contact us have three main objectives: Firstly, they are interested in Increase in output.
