Sappi has expanded its Algro-Finess product portfolio. The company now offers a coated flexible packaging paper that is particularly suitable for coffee packaging.
For passionate coffee drinkers, it is unimaginable to start the day without their favourite hot drink. For true coffee connoisseurs, both the Quality of the packaging contents and the appearance - In other words, the design and packaging play a decisive role. In order to convince customers in the shops, the packaging paper manufacturer Sappi developed the new product „Algro Finess C“, a paper with which branded goods manufacturers can even more effectively inspire consumers to buy their products.
The newly developed, one-sided double-coated MGBK paper (Machine Glazed Bleached Kraft) was specially developed for flexible packaging applications and is ideal for many packaging applications in the coffee and food sector, such as snacks and confectionery. Coffee packaging in particular often has folds and colour breaks after printing and folding, which make white areas visible. With „Algro Finess C“, a product has been developed that reduces and prevents these unsightly areas. The paper has a High-gloss surface and a treated reverse side. It is available in grammages of 80 g/m² and 90 g/m² and is also suitable for direct contact with food thanks to its unique properties.
The flexible packaging paper also scores with its outstanding printing and finishing properties. Thanks to its high-gloss surface and outstanding printing properties, „Algro Finess C“ can be used in the Flexo or gravure printing process outstanding printing results. The exceptionally strong colour and tonal value reproduction ensures a striking appearance with which brand manufacturers can draw attention to themselves at the POS. Algro Finess C„ also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of strength. Thanks to its stability, the paper can be used in the packaging line easily processed as an envelope even at high speeds.
