FS flow sensor: vacuum and pressure monitor

Der Durchflusssensor FS von Schmalz überwacht die automatisierte Handhabung verschiedenster Prozesse. So erkennt er beispielsweise, wenn eine Müslipackung nicht korrekt gegriffen wurde.

The FS flow sensor from Schmalz recognises when a muesli pack has not been gripped correctly or whether a leak is reducing efficiency. The sensor in the new series monitors the automated handling of a wide range of processes.

It doesn't miss a thing. The FS flow sensor from Lard sits close to the gripping point in the handling process and Reports deviations in flow rate, vacuum or pressure. In this way, he monitors and optimises the processes.

With the new FS series, J. Schmalz GmbH is expanding its range with a robust and reliable sensor for monitoring handling processes. Barely heavier than a bar of chocolate, the compact measuring device can be easily on robot arms or in gripper spiders can be screwed on. The system is integrated via an analogue output and two adjustable switching points.

FS flow sensor optimises processes

The new vacuum component determines precise vacuum and pressure values from -0.9 to 8 bar and the flow rate between five and 200 litres per minute, even with thin hose diameters. If the set threshold value is exceeded, the FS also signals this visually - through a colour change in the LCD display.

The sensor is used by Lard among other things for automated handling of food packaging, car body panels or glass panes. It recognises if a cereal packet has not been gripped correctly or if a leak is reducing efficiency. The display also shows an evaluation of the cumulative compressed air consumption. With the FS flow sensor, the operator can optimise its processes and keeps an eye on its costs.
