Formteknik, supplier of injection moulds for packaging, is investing in Germany and Denmark. The company is building a new German site in Dortmund to expand into the DACH region.
Dirk Paulmann has been appointed Managing Director for Germany. He is currently putting together his team for the German-speaking market. He is also further expanding the Dortmund site. According to the company, the largest city in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region with its technical university and university of applied sciences offers the ideal environment for the new location. Preparations are also underway to set up production in Germany.

Formteknik develops and builds in Denmark and Sweden Injection moulds from development to turnkey system solutions. The focus is on moulds for high-volume production with short time-to-market and low follow-up costs. This is made possible by DFM/ESI solutions, simultaneous engineering and predictive maintenance. Work is currently underway in Denmark on a new 1,100 m² test and validation centre with a clean room environment. It is scheduled to open in the autumn of this year.
Formteknik offers system solutions
The company offers worldwide service and spare parts supply over the entire service life of the mould. To minimise risk, the company has developed an innovative IoT application for global mould monitoring developed. The cloud solution MouldCat® and the mould monitoring system MouldBox® provide live, online information about the status of the mould. The aim is to minimise risk for the customer and avoid downtime. "In this way, we support our customers in the manufacturing industry in the key areas of predictive maintenance and minimising mould downtimes," says Paulmann. Formteknik offers innovative system solutions from product development through to turnkey injection moulding solutions and validation of production systems for customers operating worldwide.
