SIM Finland Oy has invested in energy efficiency and reducing its carbon footprint as part of its sustainability strategy. „Sustainability is an important value that guides our actions, both in production and at all stages of the value chain. When selecting our packaging materials Environmental friendliness and recyclability are important factors. The finished print result also plays an important role, as an appealing and eye-catching aesthetic is very important for cosmetics packaging,“ explains Heidi Varjoranta, Sales & Marketing Manager at SIM Finland Oy.
„The new packaging is largely designed in white, so we needed a pure white paperboard quality. The virgin fibre paperboard MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright has a particularly high whiteness. This means that the Pantone colours are reproduced well, both on the front and back of the board. We finish the print with a matt varnish. The special surface of the material emphasises its positive effect,“ explains Lauri Raumanni, Sales Manager at Grano Oy, the processor for the packaging range.
MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright is made from virgin fibres that can be 100 per cent to their sustainably managed Nordic forests of origin and can be traced back to PEFC- or FSC-certification are available.
