Polish company Fresh Inset is showcasing its Vidre+ packaging technology in the Polish pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka. The solution is designed to extend the shelf life of fruit, vegetables and flowers, thereby helping to reduce food waste.
Vidre+ can be seen in the „Plantation of Ideas“ zone of the pavilion, which highlights innovations in the fields of food and agriculture. The system can be integrated into packaging as a sticker or printable layer and continuously releases active ingredients inside the pack to extend freshness and shelf life. According to Fresh Inset, a special feature is the adjustable dosage, which allows the technology to be customised for different packaging formats. Changes to existing logistics or packaging processes are not required.
Innovation against food waste
„Vidre+ is a perfect example of how Polish innovation can address one of the most pressing global challenges - food waste,“ said co-founder and CSO Krzysztof Czaplicki. The presentation at Expo 2025 is intended to show that Poland is not only part of the global sustainability debate, but also provides concrete solutions.
The exhibition in the Polish pavilion is open until 13 October 2025.
