With new special labels and a strategic partnership with the Surfrider Foundation Europe, the Hamburg-based drinks manufacturer Fritz-Kola is campaigning against plastic waste and calling for a system change in the drinks industry.

More and more consumers are turning to reusable glass bottles. With its own „Drink from glass“ initiative, Fritz-kola promotes glass as a sustainable solution, raises awareness of the consequences of plastic waste and is now going one step further: from August, the drinks manufacturer is supporting 1,000 clean-ups on beaches, lakes and rivers across Europe with 100,000 euros.

Information is available directly on the shelf. With the special labels „You & fritz-kola for 1,000 beach clean-ups“, the cola experts are promoting the joint cause. Consumers can register on the website Drink from glass learn how to register a clean-up and organise their own „Ocean Initiative“.

The „Drink from Glass“ movement aims to bring about a system change in the beverage industry and encourage people to only drink from glass bottles - just as naturally as they do without plastic bags. The long-term goal of the movement is a drinks shelf that only sells glass bottles. The movement was initiated by Fritz-Kola at the beginning of 2020.
