FRUIT LOGISTICA, which was originally planned for February 2021, will not take place. Messe Berlin is postponing the trade fair for fresh produce until 18 to 20 May 2021, when it will be held as a special edition with a new concept.
Under the motto Meet onsite. Connect online the adapted concept will focus on business meetings and turnkey exhibitor packages. The aim is to offer exhibitors flexibility and improved business opportunities.
"Covid-19 presents us with challenges that none of us can avoid. That's why we asked ourselves what our customers need and what factors we can influence for them. The approach is to enable our customers to better manage their risks and further increase their business opportunities. This is the guiding principle of FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 in Berlin." Madlen MiseriusSenior Product Manager at FRUIT LOGISTICA
FRUIT LOGISTICA 2021 with an adapted concept
The organiser estimates that holding the event in May will make it more likely that a larger number of buyers from many parts of the world will be able to attend. This would further increase the opportunity to do business at the show. Digital elements, including meeting functions and the broadcasting of the conference programme, will provide additional opportunities for participation. The customised concept, which is based on turnkey exhibitor packages, is designed to increase the Reduce investments and lead times for exhibitors. There is a choice of three predefined stand sizes. The exhibitor packages include stand space, stand construction and high-performance Internet access.
"With our adapted concept, we want to make it possible for the global fruit and vegetable industry to meet in Berlin in 2021 in a safe environment and meet again," comments Miserius. "Although FRUIT LOGISTICA SPECIAL EDITION 2021 is based on a significantly reduced total area. However, it offers a maximum number of registered companies the opportunity to present their products on site. The new format reduces our customers' investment, allows time for decision-making and also reduces the number of staff that need to be at their stand in Berlin. In other words, we offer an easy way to participate and give the industry a much-needed opportunity to meet buyers face-to-face."
The FRUIT LOGISTICA team has already informed all exhibitors. Information on the exhibitor packages will be available from 23 October 2020.
