Fruit Logistica starts with an international audience

Fruit Logisitca 2023 kicks off today in Berlin, bringing together more than 2,600 exhibitors from 92 countries for the international trade fair for the fruit trade. New innovations will be on display from 8 to 10 February.

The Fruit Logisitca But 2023 will not only be very international, it will also showcase the entire value chain for fresh fruit and vegetables in 27 halls - from the producer to the point of sale - and in the process will also present the bring together the most important key players in the industry

After the trade fair had to be postponed to April last year due to the coronavirus, in its 30th anniversary year it is now returning to its original date in February, which is ideal for the industry. "All in One" is the motto of Fruit Logisitca 2023, because at a time when efficiency is becoming increasingly important, the opportunity for the entire global fresh produce industry to meet in one place is all the more valuable.

The fruit trading sector also has to deal with Supply chain problems, cost inflation, shifts in the flow of goods and high energy prices avoid.

With a good forty country participations, the exhibition space is even above the pre-pandemic level, including the Spanish participation. Thus Spain once again underlines its position as one of the leading export nations. 279 Spanish exhibitors will be presenting their products and services on more than 11,000 square metres of hall space in four halls. Further Spanish exhibitors can be found in the various theme segments.

Honouring innovations

The Fruit Logistica Innovation Award is considered the most important industry award. The special feature: on the first two days of the trade fair, 8 and 9 February 2023, buyers and trade visitors will vote for the Vote for innovation of the year can. The ten nominees will present themselves in the transition between Halls 20 and 21. The winners will also be announced there on 10 February 2023 at 2.30 pm.

In Hall 3.1 we present innovative companies in the Smart Agri sector a range of digital solutions. These include AI-supported harvesting robots, precision spraying drones, advanced irrigation concepts and autonomous field vehicles.

Four event stages, one hundred top speakers, all the key industry topics. In just three days, trade visitors to the Fresh Produce Forum, the Future Lab, the Logistics Hub, the Tech Stage and the Start-up Stage will gain insights that will help them throughout the year.

With the European Statistics Handbook and the Trend Report, Fruit Logistica is providing the fruit trade industry with two white papers to help companies make better business decisions. The European Statistics Handbook contains a wealth of detailed data that illustrates the statistical trends in the various European markets for fresh fruit and vegetables and in the different product categories.
