Full wrap labeller for unbalanced products

With the L 312, MULTIVAC is launching a new conveyor belt labeller onto the market, which now also enables attractive full wrap labelling of unevenly weighted products. The solution will be presented to the public for the first time at Anuga FoodTec and IFFA 2022.

Pre-packs of high-quality meat and fish products in particular are often sold by weight. The products must therefore be weighed, the price calculated and the information subsequently printed on the label. The new L 312 fulfils this task precisely and reliably. This is because the full wrap labeller can be supplemented with an optional price labelling function.

Up to 120 packs per minute

For this purpose, the powerful and robust model was equipped with a verifiable scale, which is already approved for most European countries and is also planned for other regions. The weighing system precisely determines the weight of the pack and passes the calculated price on to the labeller. An integrated thermal transfer printer then prints the label with all the relevant information such as weight, price, best-before date and barcode, whereby the print layout can be customised according to customer requirements. The label is then dispensed onto the top of the pack and accurately wrapped around the pack like a band.

The robust, hygienically designed model enables automatic C and D labelling of up to 120 packs per minute. If required, additional label dispensers can be integrated to apply additional labels to the top or bottom of the pack alongside the full wrap label.

The L 312 can be used in packaging lines as well as a stand-alone solution with manual product infeed. It can be integrated into MULTIVAC Line Control, which stands for maximum ease of operation. At the same time, producers and packers benefit from maximum precision, process reliability and above all throughput thanks to the automated labelling process. Thanks to the storage of the setting parameters for the weigher, labeller and printer in the recipe, fast batch changes are also possible, which minimises downtime.
