MSK Verpackungs-Systeme GmbH, Kleve, is presenting a completely new intralogistics system. It controls packaged goods on pallets in a completely automated and data-networked manner right up to the lorry. The concept and the entire conveyor technology come from a single source as a turnkey project and are customised to meet the complex requirements of the user. The aim is to provide a mix of different pallets in an intelligent and fully automated manner, taking into account optimum utilisation of truck capacities.
The concept of the entire support system can be MSK can be customised according to specific requirements. It includes numerous roller and chain conveyors, rotary elements, vertical conveyors and mobile transfer carriages and extends from the Production through to lorry loading. Pallet transport is possible in both longitudinal and transverse directions.
The MSK EMSY software offers a Comprehensive pallet information tracking. It stores the relevant pallet data, which is scanned via the QR code. This means that the pallets can be tracked seamlessly throughout the entire logistics process. All areas of the conveyor system are interconnected by the standardised control system and ensure Smooth communication with each other including peripheral devices such as scanners or scales. The system also offers an interface to the ERP system, detailed statistics on production, maintenance or faults and makes important status information available at a glance. 3D graphics and animations make operation easier.
Example in practice
The new MSK conveyor system transports the pallet loads of a can and canister manufacturer with a Peak output of 90 pallets per hour on two floors. A special feature is the specially developed MSK-EMSY programming for doubling pallets. Low pallets that do not exceed a certain load height are stacked with a similar pallet at a pallet doubler station. In order to pre-sort the pallets for optimum utilisation and weight distribution in the truck, the conveyor system also includes Storage zones and a pallet station, where the pallets are assembled and grouped in pairs and as a lorry transport unit for loading. Finally, the lorries are also loaded using a fully automated system at two terminals.
