As a provider of digital heating systems for thermoformed packaging, watttron impresses with high temperature accuracy and efficiency. The innovative heating circuits, known as heating pixels, are positioned close to the heating surface with integrated temperature sensors. For thermoformed packaging, these precisely calibrated heating elements ensure the perfect amount of heat to keep the desired temperature constant.

This technology offers numerous advantages:

(Image: watttron)
  • Reduced use of plastic: Precise temperature profiling can reduce material requirements by up to 50 per cent without compromising product quality. Alternatively, higher draw ratios can be achieved with the same material thickness.
  • Increased productivity: Only the areas that are being moulded are specifically heated, while a cold grid increases process stability and reduces energy requirements.
  • Improved energy efficiency: Optimised thermal management and low thermal masses lead to savings of around 90 percent during the start-up phase and ten percent during operation.

The sophisticated design of the cera2heat system enables existing thermoforming machines to be retrofitted, thus reducing the need for new investments.

watttron also offers a Online potential calculator which determines possible savings in material and energy by entering your production data and Clear insights into the optimisation potential by cera2heat.
