The German Packaging Award 2021 is getting underway: companies, organisations and individuals have until 15 May to submit their innovations and best solutions to the European showcase.
The standard issued by the German Packaging Institute (dvi) is organised in 10 categories and is held under the Under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy. It is cross-material and open to submissions from Germany and abroad.
The award ceremony and the announcement of the Gold Awards will be on 28 September 2021 as part of Fachpack take place.

Packaging Award 2021 and Gold Award
Participants can choose from 10 categories to submit their products or prototypes. It is also possible to submit in several categories at the same time. Packaging prizes will be awarded for each category.
The jury consists of a broad-based panel of experts from business, research, teaching and the media. They review all submissions at a two-day meeting at the premises of premium partner IGEPA group according to fixed, category-specific criteria.
In addition to the Packaging price the jury can also particularly Exclusive Gold Awards for innovations that stand out even among the packaging award winners.
Special prizes for young talent and reusable crate

The submission of innovations takes place via a Online form on the homepage of the Packaging Award. The site also provides information on the deadline for submitting products. „We will also be introducing the jury members there soon,“ announces Dr Horenburg.
