The application phase for the German Packaging Award 2022 has started: Companies, organisations and individuals can now submit their new packaging-related solutions. The submission deadline is 15 May 2022.
The prize, organised by the German Packaging Institute (dvi), is awarded across all materials in ten categories and is under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
"The packaging industry is not only systemically relevant, it is also highly highly innovative. With its solutions, it ensures hygiene, health, product protection and the security of supply for people and the economy. Furthermore In addition, more and more packaging is a pioneer for sustainability and circular economy. Submission of German Packaging Award & Gold Award
Products or prototypes can be submitted in ten categories. They range from design & finishing, product presentation, efficiency and sustainability to logistics & material flow, digitalisation and packaging machines. One Submission in several categories is possible at the same time. Detailed information on the categories, criteria and costs of participation can be found on the homepage of the German Packaging Award, where you can also find the Submission via an online form can be made.
The jury consists of a broad-based panel of experts from business, research, education and the media. It examines all entries at a two-day meeting at the premises of premium partner Igepa Group according to fixed, category-specific criteria, which can be found on the German Packaging Institute's website. In addition to the Packaging Award, the German Packaging Award jury can also present the Gold Award for particularly ground-breaking innovations. The Presentation of the German Packaging Awards will take place together with the announcement and celebration of the Gold Awards as part of a public industry event on 27 September at Fachpack in Nuremberg. The winners of the Packaging Award are also nominated for the WorldStar of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
Supported by premium partner Fachpack, the jury will once again award a prize in 2022. Special price for the next generation of schoolchildren, students and trainees. „The commitment of our partners is a real asset for the German Packaging Award. This includes Packaging Valley, which is our premium partner for the sustainability category this year,“ says a delighted Bettina Horenburg.
