The German Packaging Congress 2026 is about to start and, according to the German Packaging Institute (dvi), only a few places are still available. The 21st industry summit will take place on 19 March 2026 in Berlin and an additional programme block on corporate culture was added shortly before the start.

The congress is aimed at managers from industry, retail and brand companies along the packaging value chain. According to the organisers, the aim of the network meeting is to discuss current challenges facing the industry and to highlight strategic scope for action for companies.

Focus on regulation, commodities and AI

According to the dvi, the agenda includes several thematic blocks on current political and economic developments. These include the status of packaging legislation and the single-use plastic fund, strategic questions on packaging solutions between brand and market and the opportunities offered by new raw materials. The use of artificial intelligence in companies will also be discussed on the basis of specific use cases.

Shortly before the start of the event the programme will be supplemented by an interactive session on corporate culture. Under the title „Corporate culture: the underestimated lever for competitiveness“, the aim is to show ways in which companies can strategically develop their organisation in times of regulatory and economic challenges.
