
Algeria is the second largest importer of plastics in primary forms in Africa and the Middle East. The country is also investing in plastics and packaging technology. The next plast & printpack alger will be held for these sectors in June 2024 and there is a special offer for German exhibitors.
Technology imports make it possible to Algeria to develop and diversify its own production, to increase exports and replace imports of consumer goods. Against this backdrop, the 8th edition of plast & printpack alger in 2024 will play an important role in the Raising awareness of environmentally friendly materials and packaging among the Algerian public and is increasingly familiarising the public with green solutions and the circular economy.

German support with German Pavilion
This year, for the first time, an official German participation will be offered. The German Pavilion is in good company alongside other country participations and the special theme zone „RECYCLING SOLUTIONS“ and offers positions in prime locations.

Focus on recycling
The demand for recycling plants in Algeria is growing and offers interesting business opportunities for international suppliers. The 8th edition of plast & printpack alger will now offer a Focus on recycling solutions The focus will be on the recycling sector, with the concentration of important exhibitors from the recycling technology sector in a separate area of the trade fair, a high-quality Conference programme on this topic and the visit of buyers from all major recycling companies.
Continuation after successful restart
plast & printpack alger 2022 marked a powerful new start for the Algerian plast & printpack industry after 2 years under the influence of climate change. 110 world-leading exhibitors from 18 countries presented technological innovations and solutions to 3,675 professionals from 42 countries. During the accompanying conference, experts from Algerian government institutions and the private sector discussed the topic „Recycling of plastics and packaging materials - Algeria on the way to a circular economy“ with international experts and exhibitors.

Of the 3,675 trade visitors, 95 per cent came from Algeria (3,484) and 5 per cent (191 visitors) from a total of 41 countries, including Tunisia, France, Turkey, Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Senegal. The majority of visitors came from Algiers, followed by Sétif, Blida, Oran, Bejaia, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Boumerdès, Constantine, Batna, Annaba, Tipaza, Ghardaïa, Tizi Ouzou and Tlemcen.
