The first competitions for the 15th German Sustainability Award start today. Once again, the search is on for the pioneers of transformation in the German economy. In the anniversary year, players can apply online until 3 June 2022 in the categories of companies, design, start-ups, packaging and local heroes.
Since 2008, the DNP The award recognises the best concepts for greater sustainability and has developed into Europe's largest award for ecological and social commitment. The DNP celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2022.

The DNP honours companies that Promote sustainability as part of their business model, and makes them recognisable for customers, business partners and all other stakeholders. The award recognises players from the business world (from corporations to SMEs and micro-enterprises) that make effective contributions to transformation with innovative products and services, high ecological standards in production or special social commitment in their supply chain.
With the Special price packaging In cooperation with the REWE Group, the packaging solutions of tomorrow that reduce plastic, avoid waste and are affordable for consumers are honoured. The The competition for the special prize starts on 7 March 2022.
Sustainable start-ups can apply for the Next Economy Award. The award is presented jointly with Evonik Industries; in addition to founders, this year's competition is also open to established companies that cooperate with a start-up.
The winners will be as part of the 15th German Sustainability Day on 1 and 2 December 2022 at the Maritim Hotel Düsseldorf. The awards ceremony in the evening is preceded by a two-day congress. Since its premiere in 2008, the DNP has developed into a communication platform for the German sustainability scene and offers a wide range of networking opportunities.
This year's competitions begin on days of uncertainty, according to the German Sustainability Award Foundation. The war in Ukraine will also foreseeably hinder sustainable transformation.
