The German Sustainability Award is Europe's largest award for ecological and social commitment and will honour pioneering contributions to the transformation towards a sustainable future for the 17th time in 2024. The application period has started: The 17th German Sustainability Award (DNP) honours the best products for a sustainable future. Companies can now apply with physical and virtual products, services and initiatives. The prize is awarded to solutions that are characterised by exemplary consideration of sustainability criteria in production and use and thus make a special contribution to sustainable transformation. Applications can be submitted online until 4 July 2024.
Wanted: Sustainable „lighthouses“ with impact and radiance
With the Product price As the second main category, the DNP is following the suggestion of many partners, participants and jury members. The award emphasises the most Early and comprehensive consideration of sustainability in the design, choice of materials and manufacture of all types of products at the centre of attention. The aim is to highlight the best examples of circular design and solutions that promote sustainable transformation in a special way.
The five product price categories correspond to the areas in which Transformation is most important. When submitting their entries, applicants specify the area in which their product makes a particularly significant contribution to sustainability:
Climate: Reduction of CO2 emissions and promotion of the use of renewable energies.
Nature: Conservation and regeneration of natural habitats.
Resources: Optimised use of resources and reduction in consumption of finite raw materials.
Society: Improving people's social and ecological quality of life.
Value chains: Promoting fair and healthy working conditions and supporting equal opportunities.
Until 4 July 2024, all companies that offer products and services in Germany can apply with up to three solution profiles via the platform of DNP partner score4more. The award ceremony is expected to take place as part of the 17th German Sustainability Day on 28 and 29 November 2024 in Düsseldorf take place.
