Ueli Utzinger will become the new Group Senior Director Communication & Marketing at Gerresheimer AG on 1 December 2021. He succeeds Jens Kürten, who is reorienting himself after twelve years of successful marketing and communications work for Gerresheimer.
Gerresheimer's strategic objective is to transform itself into a growth company that acts and operates as a dynamic innovation leader and solution provider. This is reflected in in the new visual appearance and in the new corporate slogan «innovating for a better life». Both were developed under the leadership of external marketing and communications consultant Ueli Utzinger and launched in spring 2021. The successful collaboration will now continue on a permanent basis: Ueli Utzinger will take over the role of Group Senior Director Communication & Marketing of the Gerresheimer AG.
For 30 years, Ueli Utzinger has developed and successfully implemented marketing and communication concepts for internationally orientated industrial and pharmaceutical companies as well as financial service providers. In this context, he was also responsible for the brand strategy, brand development and brand management of these companies.
“Doer and driving force“
Dietmar Siemssen, CEO of Gerresheimer, is delighted with the appointment: “Ueli Utzinger has been very closely involved in our strategy process and has played an active role in shaping it. We experienced him as a dynamic doer and a valuable source of inspiration. He will make our transformation process visible and tangible for our customers, partners, investors, stakeholders and employees through active and creative communication.“
Ueli Utzinger is taking over from Jens Kürten, who is leaving Gerresheimer after twelve years of successful marketing and communications work to pursue a new career. Dietmar Siemssen bids farewell to the departing Head of Marketing and Communications: “Jens Kürten has done an outstanding job over the last twelve years and his professional work has made a significant contribution to Gerresheimer's position as one of the world's leading providers of solutions and products for pharma, biotech and beauty. The Gerresheimer Management Board would like to thank him for his achievements and wish him all the best for his professional and private future."
Jens Kürten will continue to support his successor until 18 February 2022 and ensure a smooth transition.
