New wide-mouth jars: screw cap closure ensures originality

The new wide-mouth cans „WD 06501 MG“ and „WD 13001 MG“ from GFV Verschlusstechnik in Alpirsbach have a new tamper-evident screw cap closure. Powders, tablets, granulates, pastes and liquids can be packaged flexibly, securely and tamper-proof in the round-cylindrical cans made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

The new Can series is in the two Nominal volume gradations 650 millilitres and 1,300 millilitres are available. Further volume gradations are possible on customer request. The cans are suitable for use in the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food supplement sectors as well as in laboratories and for lubricants.

The innovative closures have already been Patent registered. The Screw cap can be equipped with different PE foam seals for high liquid tightness. Lids and cans are made of completely recyclable HDPE.

Further model with bump cover planned

The WD 06501 MG and WD 13001 MG models are just the start of the new wide-neck can series. GFV Closure technology has already announced a further variant with a bumper cover.

Display

The company also offers the option of customising the cans ex works in the In-mould label process (IML) colours. A wide variety of colours are available for the tins and closures. The Permeability properties can be increased using special barrier IMLs. The contents are then better protected against the effects of light and oxygen.

The new can series also features the general advantages of GFV Verschlusstechnik products. The cans are stackable and have a high drop and impact resistance thanks to the use of HDPE. In the Filling process the lids can be screwed on automatically.
