The corrugated cardboard manufacturer Gissler & Pass Rodenberg GmbH has launched a comprehensive reorganisation process at its Rodenberg site. The aim is to avert the imminent closure of the plant and secure jobs on the basis of a viable restructuring concept.
Gissler & Pass Rodenberg GmbH has initiated the reorganisation of its business in Rodenberg and is using insolvency proceedings in self-administration for this purpose. Over the next three months, the company is to be reorganised on the basis of a restructuring concept in order to ensure the long-term economic stability of the site. According to the company, this step has avoided the closure of the plant.
„The difficult market conditions have forced us to react. We were able to avert the closure of our plant in Rodenberg. We are taking our task of reorganising the company very seriously and are relying on constructive cooperation with our works council to achieve this.“

Focus on regional customers and core production
As part of the restructuring, the focus is on maintaining those production areas that are of particular importance to customers in the region. „We are transforming our company and using the insolvency proceedings under self-administration for this purpose, based on a viable reorganisation concept. In this way, we are safeguarding the core areas of our performance for our customers and the region,“ continues Gissler-Weber.
The process should make it possible to adapt existing structures sustainably and strengthen the competitiveness of the corrugated cardboard manufacturer. According to the company, this is a challenging process for everyone involved, but one that is seen as a necessary step towards securing the site and jobs in Rodenberg.
