Ardagh Glass Packaging is now producing reusable jars for the Naturrein jam range from Zentis. The fruit processing company is thus responding to consumer demand for sustainable and reusable glass packaging.
The new 200g and 250g jars have rounded edges so that they sit comfortably in the hand and have a sustainable cork lid that fits over the vacuum seal.
The design by Dragon Rouge and Anke Lambrecht Product Design was intended to create a variety of reuse options, such as transforming the jars into vases, spice jars or gift packaging and reusing the cork lids as coasters.
The new NaturRein glass range is a component of the Zentis sustainability strategy, which is working towards climate neutrality at the Zentis site in Aachen. Oliver Böcker, Vice President Commercial B2C: "The Naturrein range is already climate-neutral today. The CO2 emissions along the entire NaturRein value chain are offset, for example, by investing in a forest conservation project in Peru."
