Grafische Systeme mourns the loss of its managing director

With passion and empathy, he travelled for many years to find and convince customers and to exchange information about requirements and possibilities between them and the manufacturers. In the beginning, GS's sales programme also included machines for form printers and peripherals for transpromo and transactions, but over the course of the 1990s it concentrated on label manufacturers.

Holger Grundmann has always played a key role, find new products and new suppliers, which, on the one hand, could replace those that were no longer needed and, on the other hand, complement the portfolio. He had joined the company at the beginning of 1994 as a salesman for the then still „new“ federal states, but was quickly active in the entire sales area. The appointment as an authorised signatory was followed by the transfer of a shareholder share and, after the death of company founder Volker Schischke, the assumption of responsibility as an equal managing partner alongside Angelika Schischke.

His office in Waren/Müritz became the sales centre of Graphic systems. From there, his travels have taken him to most European countries as well as to East Asia and the United States. In many cases, this has resulted in relationships that go far beyond the purely business-related. As one of these friends put it, he leaves behind „big shoes to fill“.
