At PRSE 2025 in Amsterdam, GreenDot will be showcasing new solutions for the recyclability of polyolefins that make it possible to fulfil the requirements of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

GreenDot aims to promote the circular economy of plastics through its own activities in the areas of extended producer responsibility (EPR), sorting and advanced mechanical and chemical recycling. These activities will complemented by partnerships with petrochemical companies and processors, to provide brand owners with packaging with a high recycled content and a low carbon footprint. The company wants to ensure that Polyolefins from household waste efficiently and integrated into new packaging solutions.

„Our mission is to close the loop in the plastics economy and lead the industry towards a resource-efficient, low-emission future. PRSE 2025 is the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest developments in sorting, mechanical and chemical recycling. More importantly, we will showcase how we are realising large-scale recycling of packaging waste into packaging for polyolefins through unique collaborations with partners along the value chain.“

Expansion of recycling capacities

GreenDot continuously invests in infrastructure for plastics recycling, both mechanically and chemically. The aim is to meet the growing demand for high-quality recyclates, be it for films, bottle-to-bottle or food-safe applications. By integrating modern sorting and processing systems, the company increases the availability of recycled polyolefins from household waste for high-quality products, including packaging solutions with strict quality requirements.

Strategic positioning for sustainable material cycles

In order to strengthen the recyclability of polyolefins, GreenDot is expanding its strategic activities beyond PP and LDPE recycling in Germany. Its sorting plant in Milan and thehe sorting plant for lightweight packaging waste from TriPlast in Austria ensure a continuous supply of valuable secondary raw materials for efficient plastics recycling processes. In addition, the integration of Forplast into the GreenDot Group Recycled HDPE in bottle-to-bottle quality as well as for applications in irrigation pipes and cable ducts in the construction sector.
