Groku Kunststoffe GmbH, a manufacturer of plastic packaging based in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, has taken over a production site in England. The plant is currently being extensively modernised and aligned with the company's internal production standards; production is scheduled to start in January 2026.
According to the company, preparations are going according to plan. The infrastructure is being modernised, machine installations are being pushed ahead, logistics are being expanded and new employees are receiving intensive training. In future, buckets and lids are to be produced at the site using the injection moulding process, primarily for the British market.
Location strengthens international growth strategy
As Managing Director Henrik Großekämper explains, the investment is a strategic step towards a stronger presence in the UK. „The investment in the UK site is an important step in our international growth strategy. We want to supply our local customers even more efficiently and sustainably. The decisive factor for us is that we can now offer existing and new customers the familiar Groku quality standard directly on site. We therefore work strictly according to our proven specifications and utilise our more than 55 years of experience in the production of plastic packaging.“
According to the company, the new plant will shorten its delivery routes and increase supply security for existing and future customer groups.
