Gunda Rachut will continue to lead the fortunes of the Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR) as a board member for the next five years. At its most recent meeting, the ZSVR Board of Trustees unanimously decided to extend the lawyer's contract until 2028.
Consistently digital, recognised as a role model with international appeal: Under Rachut's leadership, the ZSVR has set up the public packaging register LUCID within a very short space of time, developed it further and adapted it to new legal requirements. The now around 710,000 registrations come from all over the world.
After studying law in Germany and France, the Osnabrück native founded cyclos GmbH together with other shareholders, a Expert organisation for environmental, waste and packaging management. On behalf of the Federal Environment Agency, Gunda Rachut was co-author of studies on the further development of packaging disposal and in 2011 was involved in two basic studies in the simulation game for the planned recyclables law.
In the course of planning and designing the Packaging Act, she was responsible for as project manager for the establishment of the Central Agency Packaging Register Foundation (ZSVR). In 2017, she was appointed to the Executive Board of the newly founded ZSVR.
