The new HD-1500 mobile robot from Omron is ideally suited for use in modern warehouse systems where autonomous material handling solutions need to be mastered with the help of demanding industrial automation tasks.

There is also the option of Material handling even from a distance to be able to perform. An advantage in times of the Covid-19 pandemic, as the HD-1500 complies with the new social distancing requirements.

HD-1500 supports intelligent automation

The payload of the HD-1500 is up to 1,500 kilograms. This makes the Transport of large components for example, payloads the size of bulky pallets. Normally, only forklift trucks transport such objects. The introduction of the HD-1500 is a useful addition to Omron's range of mobile robots, including the LD-60/90 and LD-250, which can handle a wide range of items from components and WIP (work in progress) to finished products and heavy materials.

As with the other models, the HD-1500 is controlled via the industry's first fleet manager from Omron. It ensures efficient material handling. It can also Up to 100 mobile robots in different sizes, with different configurations and payload capacities in one system. This means that even complex material transport and logistics applications can be automated.

HD-1500 avoids obstacles

The HD-1500 automatically calculates the best route, while working safely with people and avoiding obstacles. The robot is not dependent on magnetic floor tapes or other signposts. The battery is charged in just 36 minutes and can manage a complete work shift at full load, which significantly reduces downtime.

"On-site logistics, the movement of products and materials within the factory and warehouse, is becoming a real bottleneck for many companies due to the volume of work. Fast-paced manufacturing environments require speed and flexibility. The HD-1500 mobile robot can work tirelessly, punctually and safely with people around the clock."
