With an investment of one million euros, transport specialist Liquid CONcept is further expanding its range of small containers. The containers have a capacity of 1,000 litres and are mainly used for temperature-controlled transport of liquid foodstuffs such as chocolate and caramel paste or even edible oils.

The heatable and fully insulated Containers are also used for the storage of liquid products utilised. Their equipment can be customised to meet individual customer requirements. "The strong demand for food transport in small containers necessitated a further investment in our fleet," explains Ulrich Schnoor, Managing Director of Liquid CONcept. "This will enable us to further expand our existing business and handle even larger volumes with our customers."

This increases the number of heatable intermediate bulk containers to a total of 1,150 units. 75 per cent of the 185 new containers have already been leased to customers. The remaining 25 per cent are earmarked as a reserve so that the company can react quickly and flexibly to customer requests. The new IBCs are mainly used by the food processing industry in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. The small containers are also used when it is not possible to accept tank containers or tanker lorries.
