The Heinz-Glas Group is cancelling short-time working at its German sites in Kleintettau and Teuschnitz. The reason for this is improved capacity utilisation, which will enable a return to regular working hours.
The Heinz-Glas Group is suspending short-time working at the Kleintettau and Teuschnitz sites until 31 March 2026. From 1 April, employees in all departments will return to regular working hours. According to the company, this is due to a stabilised order situation.
In recent months, the company had introduced short-time working in response to a temporary drop in demand. This measure served to bridge the economically tense phase and secure jobs at the same time.
„The decision to suspend short-time working is a positive signal for our company and our employees. It shows that our capacity utilisation has stabilised and that we can look to the future with confidence again.“
CEO and owner Carletta Heinz
Despite the current easing of the situation, the company is sticking to its existing agreements on short-time working. Both the application to the employment agency and the arrangements with the works council remain in place in order to be able to react flexibly in the event of a renewed deterioration in the order situation.
Packaging market remains challenging
Heinz-Glas is an international manufacturer of glass packaging for the perfume and cosmetics industry and employs around 4,000 people worldwide. The company operates in a market that continues to be characterised by fluctuating demand and economic uncertainty.
Nevertheless, the company management is optimistic for the coming months. „We are optimistic about the coming months and expect continued positive development over the course of the year. The prerequisite for this remains the joint commitment of all our employees,“ says Carletta Heinz.
