Henkel: New adhesive solutions for recyclable packaging

Henkel will be presenting new adhesives and test environments for sustainable and PPWR-compliant packaging at Fachpack 2025.

At Fachpack 2025, Henkel will be presenting resource-saving adhesives, modular testing environments and solutions for fibre-based packaging. The aim is to support companies in implementing the circular economy and future PPWR requirements.

The packaging industry is facing profound change. Increasing demands for sustainability, new regulatory requirements and the growing importance of the circular economy are forcing manufacturers to find new solutions. Henkel is addressing these trends and presents innovative adhesives and services at Fachpack 2025 that combine environmental performance and process reliability should.

A Trade fair highlight is a new generation of Hotmelt adhesives, which is scheduled for market launch in September. It offers the same chemical composition and adhesive performance as previous products, but significantly reduces the carbon footprint. According to Henkel, customers can actively improve their carbon footprint while at the same time relying on proven performance.

Support with PPWR implementation and recyclability

With a view to the upcoming EU packaging regulation (PPWR) Henkel is focusing on the recyclability of fibre-based packaging. The company's own Packaging RecycLab offers a modular test environment in which the recycling compatibility of new packaging concepts can be realistically tested. This provides companies with reliable data so that they can optimise packaging from the outset. PPWR-compliant and to avoid subsequent adjustments.
