Sven Schneller, long-standing Managing Director of labelling specialist Herma, intends to retire from operational management in mid-2026. The company has already taken the first steps towards organising a successor and has appointed CFO Oguzhan Celil to the management board.

After two decades at the helm of Herma, Sven Schneller, 58, is planning to retire from operational management on 1 July 2026. This was announced by the Filderstadt-based company on 24 July. Schneller emphasised that his decision was in line with a long-held wish to focus more on his private life in the future. „I will always remain associated with Herma,“ said Schneller, who worked for the company for a total of 40 years.

Advisory board honours merits and prepares handover

The Herma Advisory Board showed understanding for the decision and expressly thanked Schneller for his contribution to the company's development. At the same time, it was emphasised that Schneller would continue to be available to the company with his experience even after his departure. To ensure a smooth transition, CFO Oguzhan Celil has been appointed to the Executive Board with effect from 1 August 2025. Celil has been a member of the Executive Board since 2021.

Expansion of the Management Board at the beginning of 2026

The new division of responsibilities in the management board is to take effect from 1 January 2026. Dr Guido Spachtholz will then also assume responsibility for the Labels division, while Oguzhan Celil will also be responsible for Human Resources in addition to his existing responsibilities. They will continue to be supported by Martin Kühl, Head of the Labelling Machines division since 2013.
