HERMA is demonstrating its pioneering role in sustainable labelling solutions with three pioneering innovations at FACHPACK in Nuremberg and Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona. In focus: a new InNo-Liner system for logistics labels, a washable label for reusable containers and an elegant solution for premium packaging without a plastic liner.
At both trade fairs, HERMA will be demonstrating just how diverse sustainable labelling can be today - from logistics and reusable packaging to premium products. The solutions help companies to reduce material consumption, make processes more efficient and at the same time fulfil legal requirements such as the EU packaging regulation PPWR to keep an eye on.
Sustainable shipping solution: HERMA InNo-Liner and cab HERMES QL
One of the highlights of this year's Labelexpo and Fachpack is the system solution for shipping and logistics labels without liner, which HERMA is presenting together with cab Produkttechnik. The system is based on the InNo-Liner adhesive material from HERMA and the new print dispenser variant HERMES QL from cab. The highlight: the label is not initially sticky, the adhesive force is only activated during application - without any silicone or liner waste. .
Thanks to an integrated Automatic paper saving system, which cuts the label to the length actually required, further material is saved and the service life of the print heads is increased. The Liability on shipping cartons is improved - an advantage over classic linerless solutions. Users also benefit from lower maintenance requirements and a wider choice of materials.

Premium labels without backing: HERMAexquisite
With HERMAexquisite (grade 240) the company is presenting another product at FACHPACK that combines sustainability and a high-quality look. The labels come completely without carrier film This is a speciality in the premium segment for wine, spirits and cosmetic products. .
The HERMAexquisite labels can be processed like conventional linerless materials, but score with special printability and a high-quality print image, that can also withstand special colours and paintwork. For many brand owners who want to reduce their carbon footprint, this solution offers a visually appealing and resource-saving approach.

Washable labels for reusable cycles
Third in the group is a new development for the booming reusable market: the Wash-off label 62L wash-off with wash-off adhesive 62Rpw. This combination enables residue-free removal of the label during the rinsing process - regardless of whether the label was on glass or plastic. .
The biggest advantage is that the containers can be reused without the need for time-consuming removal of adhesive residue. This saves water, cleaning agents and energy - while at the same time ensuring high label adhesion throughout the entire service life. The solution was also developed with a view to the increasing Sustainability requirements in the reusable sector.
