At Anuga FoodTec, Hovmand will be presenting solutions for the ergonomic and hygienic handling of materials in the production and packaging of food. The Danish manufacturer of mobile handling and lifting equipment is exhibiting at the trade fair for the first time.
In the production and packaging of food, employees are exposed to high levels of physical strain on a daily basis: mixing vessels, barrels, canisters and buckets as well as various ingredients have to be transported, lifted and decanted. These processes jeopardise the health and safety of employees and also mean a potential risk to food safety. Ergonomics and hygiene go hand in hand with the customisable handling devices from Hovmand.
From 26 - 29 April Hovmand its solutions for handling materials throughout the food production and packaging process at the leading trade fair for the international food and beverage industry. The flexible lifting devices from the Danish manufacturer offer effective Support with the handling of ingredients and materials and ensure greater efficiency. They make it possible to transport canisters, buckets and drums, and tipping, emptying or decanting up to a height of 2.30 metres. Meat crates and other stackable containers can also be moved in this way by one person without strain and without causing physical strain. This speeds up the overall work process, as several crates can be moved to their destination by one person at the same time.
Loading packaging machines with fresh stretch and packaging film is also a physical challenge in many companies. Hovmand offers a solution with its flexible roll manipulators. These can be operated electrically or manually and bring film rolls to the desired height and position for insertion into the machine. This means that film changes are quicker and less frequent, as larger rolls can be used without pushing employees to their physical limits.
Ensuring hygienic production processes is of crucial importance for the food industry. Strict regulations apply, which are regularly monitored. The lifting devices from Hovmand offer an efficient form of support here, as the dangers of manual handling - spilling, tripping, improper handling, etc. - are avoided. This ensures greater safety in production and packaging. At the same time, less waste is produced as sensitive and expensive packaging material, for example, is protected from improper manual handling.
All Hovmand mobile hoists are available in 100 per cent electropolished stainless steel and are manufactured to GMP standards. Hovmand's lifters and manipulators are the only mobile lifting equipment suppliers to fulfil protection class IP66. It is possible to convert the solutions to ATEX - for special potentially explosive environments (EX areas), such as when processing fishmeal or other powders.
